BCG's Intelligent Cities Index 2026 benchmarks 61 cities across 39 countries on a single question: does technology actually improve residents' lives? Riyadh ranks 33rd globally — ahead of Paris and Tokyo — with four other Saudi cities in the Emerging tier. The gap to the Leading group is 18 points, and the data confirms it is closeable.
