Abstract
The sports economy extends far beyond clubs, competitions and broadcasting, generating value through participation, tourism, goods, technology, media and urban development. This report examines how attention, infrastructure, investment and direct fan relationships shape where that value is created and retained. It argues that future growth will depend on converting sporting interest into year-round participation, spending and local economic activity.
